The Showcase

Working at The Showcase is usually pretty fun. You get to hear decent music and hang out with a bunch of cool ass people. After working there for a few weeks however I have noticed a much darker side to the show than is at first visible. Every show ends with a "Patriotic" group of songs. Ever since 9/11 this has been a very in thing to do and many people have cashed in on the AMERICAN PRIDE trend before so what's the big deal? Integrity. If you want people to give you a standing ovation every night...play good shows. Please do not depend on the lemming attitude of people when it comes to being driven to stand up and clap out of guilt. This is just in bad taste.

Other than that, it's awesome. I thought that I would hate the show and want to kill myself on a nightly basis but it's not that bad. There have only been a few times where I have wanted to stand in a pool of water and play with the microphones and that was mainly due to standing ovation whore of an ending.

Come out and see the show. It is actually a good show and worth the money. Just leave as soon as you hear God Bless America. You'll thank me later.

Philadelphia: The Return

Fun trip. Good times. It rained most of the way home - pretty damn hard at that. I had a good time hanging out with my beautiful girlfriend Beth and her people. Philly is a cool place, I dig it there a lot. I can't wait to go back in a month and a half. I'm home now though and I'm going to pass out for a few hours.

Three Months Already

I can't believe that it's been 3 months already. These months have filled me with so much happiness that I couldn't begin to explain. I'm a very lucky man to be with my wonderful girlfriend Beth and I hope we are together for a lot longer. The time I spend with her is precious to me. She's stolen my heart in a way nobody else has been able to and I'm very happy about this. She means so much to me and I'm just very happy to be able to be with her.

It turns out that there are some "imported" copies of The OC Season 1 showing up on eBay. I've e-mailed a few of the sellers asking them about the quality of these DVD's and am halfway tempted to buy one. I missed a few of the shows and really want to see them but don't want to wait for re-runs. They are going for around $60 so if the quality is good it's not that bad.
